DR-008 sequencer problems

Any users of the Receptorized DR-008 out there? I recently installed it and seem to be running into serious bug problems. In the sequencer module clicking on the boxes that represent the sound for each track of the sequencer brings up a blank gray box. Clicking on the box selects the sound for that track. I am assuming the box should have a list of the sounds available on the pads of the main interface. Am I wrong? Is anyone else having this issue? It's very challenging to create the setup that I want by guessing where I need to click for a particular sound!
Also, I am unable to load any Battery Kits newer than Battery 1. Any fixes for that?
