Any help on this. Direct install is crashing, when I am trying to install NI MASSIVE. the install is on a disc, in the drive, as I just bought MASSIVE from Guitar Center. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Make sure you are using the PC installer off of the DVD (if you are on a Mac). If it's not that, make sure the installer on the DVD is the same version as the Direct Install version. I've had to download the current installer from NI on a couple of installs in order to get them to work with Muse Direct Install. That's all I can think of to try - good luck -

Another idea: I just found out from Muse this week that Mac OS 10.4.11 prevents remote access to the CD/DVD drive, preventing use of the Direct Install function. Fixed in 10.5.6, apparently. I'm not sure if this explains your "crash", though. If it does, you might want to open a support ticket at Plugorama. Or, PM me and I can send you some e-mails of correspondence between Muse support and me from this past week that provides a work-around to Direct Install not working for me while attempting to install NI Battery 3.

I'd love to get in touch with you about the workaround. Thanks in advance.

krishnacore,
A lot of direct install issues can be removed by taking the disc out of the equation. If you've already installed/registered Massive you'll have access to all the update files available for massave, and these can be used to install it on Receptor. Just go to the NI website, click on support, then updates. Search for massive updates for windows and then download the 1.1.3 update for massive. Once downloaded you can use the 'install latest update' field to run the winders installer on receptor. If you run into a hitch let me know. You can also open a help desk ticket at www.plugorama.com/hd.php.
