Hello LaIndependant,
The solution is to use busses.
If you want to control an Effect via MIDI you have to plug it into an instrument track and feed the audio into it via sidechain.
So you can only use a midi controlled fx on tracks which are available in the sidechain menu. Unfortunatly the main output can not be accessed via sidechain.(which somehow makes sense). The solution is to work with busses.
Route all your audio/instrument tracks to BUS1.
Now create an instrument track with Effectrix and feed this BUS1 via sidechain into it. This should do the trick.
Note that you should turn the volume of BUS1 to 0, because you propably want all the audio to pass thru Effectrix.
Best,
Robert

hey there!
so i basically have the exact problem here. i've tried the above solution but haven't been able to get it to work. i'm absolutely new with logic, and am using a friend's copy specifically for this purpose. is there any way someone could give a more detailed explanation how to route everything?
thank you so much!
