Hi, I wonder would it be possible to write short step by step tutorial on how to program your own chords to use with Consequence. I have my own chord progressions with correct voice leading and would like to use them within Consequence. I know it can be done by do not know what steps to undertake.
Congratulations on a great product. I also wonder whether you will expand the product to cater for all different styles.
Thank you!!

I have been able to figure it out a bit, for example how to record midi out in Acid, just load up Consequence to midi track, record enable the track and press record and it comes out, so cool, but I could not figure out how to write my own chords, I could not find it in manual.

There was another thread recently and I'm pretty sure that Sugar Bytes were going to make a more in-depth video tutorial on Consequence.
I'm using Live 8 by the way! I've also just woke up, so I'm not 'all there' yet!

Hi,
we have 3 pretty nice video tutorials in the making,
will be online very soon!
Short steps to program own chords:
1. In Chord Memory turn "Select" to "Manual"
2. Click on Number 1 and draw the chord. Then click on number 2 and draw the next chord and so on.
3. In Chord memory now turn "Select" back to "Sequencer".
4. Use the Chord Sequencer to select the chords while the sequence is running.
The Chord Sequencer can run slower (2/1 and 4/1) than the other sequencers which makes it easy to create long patterns.
best

Hello Rico again, I have tried what you said and it works perfectly!.
I would like to ask you for the steps on how to put chords one after the other in a sequence that I can later play and record in midi. For example I want to put C on chord 1, D on chord 2 and then be able to play those chords in that order (chord one, chord two) while Consequence does it's magic. I understand how to save it but do not know how to program them to play one after the other.
Cheers!

Use the Chord Sequencer. It's the one on the bottom.
The bars have 16 states for the 16 possible chords.
Right beside the Chord Sequencer a big blue number
shows the currently played chord.
Best

Rico,
In an earlier post you mentioned I could bounce the midi track to audio? I've been trying to do that with Consequence with no luck? I'm using Logic 8 Pro. How could I capture the audio from Consequence via Midi to audio track? You've been great help so far cheers!

Rico,
Bouncing the midi track to AUDIO works fine. I wasn't setting the locators correctly. Once I set the locators to the length I wanted to record it was all good. Thanks again, it took me awhile but I finally got it.
If you use lOGIC 8 and you have a pattern in consequence that you want to use, you simply:
set the green locators to record 1 bar
solo the consequence channel midi track
then go to file
then choose bounce
it'll bounce that midi track to audio.
