I noticed what a complete PITA it was to load several waveforms at once so i changed it so you can select and load several files at once.

Some other small changes:
- The waveform display does'nt show the spectrum anymore. There was a small bug in it so i simply removed the spectrum graphics. Not sure they worked the way they were supposed to anyways and they were'nt that useful. Mostly pretty.

- I'm kinda phasing out the DFT export as it isn't very useful It now defaults to RAW export only. And i removed the RAW file suffix as it annoyed me.

That's about it. I only tried it briefly and it seems to work. Have'nt done any extensive testing but it should work fine. Just to be sure make a backup of all your custom waveforms (you should anyways) if something goes havoc. Don't really see how that could happen but i'm only human.

BTW It's only the Java version that is updated. The JUCE version is pretty much abandoned. I thought about removing it but i kept it for sentimental reasons.

It felt a bit spammy to make a new post when there's a sticky related to the program but since i made the last post there i did'nt think anyone would notice it unless i did a separate post.

Want to give this a try (finally ). Too bad about the spectrum graphics. That is what caught my interest to begin with. Oh well I'm sure if they were needed you'd include them.

Oh well, thanks again for working on this!

Really ? They we're mostly there for the pretty graphics. Did'nt have much use in real life if you ask me. I could put them in again but it'll take me a while. I did'nt think anyone would miss them. It's such a small display you can't really see much of it anyways.

Plus i suspect they did'nt work correctly and noone ever noticed. At least they did'nt mention it to me.

EDIT: This update was about multiple file import. I just choose to fix a few small things while i was at it. I noticed the spectral display did'nt work correctly so i simply removed it.

Thank you!!

what with the Zebra fix on loading waveforms in the latest beta i will have much fun with this!!

wanted to play with it for a long time

Hi, juputer, why is the JUCE version abandoned? Personally I can't stand java apps, suppose it's not only me. Could you please continue to develop JUSE version, of course if you have an opportunity to do it.

funny, just thought about it ... and: new version :-o

thank you very much!

Because the Mac people kept nagging for a Mac version and since i don't have one Java is the only way for me to do a version for them.

And updating 2 programs in 2 different languages is just too much work for too little return.

That's why.

What is your problem with Java ?

The JUCE version is admittedly a tad snappier to work with and installing Java if you don't have it is a PITA. Other than that i don't really see a problem.

EDIT: And Java is just soo much easier to program than C++. That does'nt hurt either.

jupiter8,

Thanks for the update to your tool! Java/JUCE/C++ I don't really care what you pick since you're giving this to us for free. ;)

Yes you do. You're on a Mac,right ?

The first link has little relevance in this case since it's about Java Applets.

The second link is for me to worry about not you. It has no relevance to the user experience.

In some regards Java programs do suck but in this case the benefits far outweigh the bad sides of Java.

And i'm not replying here because i was offended by anyones comments. I just felt like taking the piss. :hihi:
I can give as good as i take.

Something incredible occured to me the other day.
Howard Scarr is using my program!!! So there's a possibility that there's promille of a promille of my IP in the latest Batman movie! That got me so excited you can't imagine.

@Howard: If this isn't the case,i don't want to know about it. Please leave me believe that this indeed is the case. It's a really cool feeling.

 That is a cool thought!! :)

Thanks for the update, should be really useful.

Peace,
Andy.

I use em both, Mac & PC. And when something is free I'm just happy people are sharing. :D

Hi, just discovered this program. I tried to load a "clap" sound and export to zebra but when loading the created preset in Zebra I just get the init sound. Is there an idiot-proof user guide for this? I clicked help but there's nothing there.

Thanks$

To begin with a clap sound won't work. Only single cycle waveforms.

The program does'nt do presets even though they have the same file suffix.
The export path should be something like
C:\Program Files\u-he\Zebra2\Modules\Oscillator
on a PC. On a Mac
Local:
MacHD/Library/Application Support/u-he/Zebra2/Modules/Oscillator/

User:
~/Library/Application Support/u-he/Zebra2/Modules/Oscillator/

Once the file is in the right place you start Zebra2 and on the oscillators there's a small tab on the lower left that probably says default.
Click that and a browser for oscillator presets comes up. Locate the exported file and click on it. Voila you have a sampled waveform in Zebra2.

Awesome, thanks, I was indeed wide off the mark.

Additional question if someone has patience with me tonight: how do I create - or find - single cycles waveforms?
