Good morning,
At rehearsal a few days ago, I was playing a blend of string samples in Kontakt3 on my Receptor2 Pro, stopped playing (actually, think I changed snapshot patches), and then noticed that one of the notes was just left hanging/playing continuously. I unplugged the midi cable in case it was the keyboard, and the note continued to sound. I didn't have a monitor handy to check things out in the mixer, but I had to restart the Receptor to get it to stop. Obviously that wouldn't be ideal during a performance! Hasn't happened before - seemingly a one-time thing.
Are there any tricks to changing snapshots that could cause this? For example, if I was playing/holding a note on a string snapshot and then changed to another snapshot, say, Akoustik while STILL holding the note - could that maybe cause it to sustain indefinitely? Anyone else encounter this? Just curious if I was doing something wrong somehow!

I have had this happen. Very frustrating! This scenario is especially bad when changing from a quiet patch to a louder, denser patch in a snapshot. I believe the problem is caused by the receptor not receiving a note-off CC, so the notes are carried on into the VST's that are activated in the new snapshot patch.I use an M-Audio Axiom keyboard, which has a "panic" button. This sends note-off commands on all channels and generally stops the stuck notes. There may be more to this situation than the no note-off CC hypothesis though, as I have had a scenario like yours happen, where the panic button does not fix the stuck notes, and a restart is required. I would love to hear other experiences/solutions for this.
