I contacted the creators of Bluthner Digital Model one piano library regarding the possibility of running it on Receptor, and got the following reply for anyone who may be interested (Ernest Cholakis advised he had no problem with me sharing this information)

Hi Mal

BDMO can be read by Kontakt 3 so you do not have to use the Player. FYI in the next month or so Native Instruments will have a Kontakt 3.5 Player version out. There has been problems in the past installing 3rd party Kontakt 2 Player libraries. I have spoken the technician at Muse Reseach and he tells me that yes you can install BDMO with the new Receptor O/S update.

The standalone mode of Kontakt 3 will work but it may not input multiple midi inputs like a sequencer does. NI may fix this in 3.5 but I do not know for sure. We have sold BDMO to keyboard player who perform live with the just the Kontakt 3 or Kontakt 2 Player in standalone mode.

If you want multiple midi streams you can use a realtime midi merge device such as Midi Solutions Quadra Merge.

I will put a call today to Muse Research just to double check and get back to you.

Regards

Ernest

Hi Ernest

From what I have read on the KVR forum in regard to Muse Receptor, no one has been able to run BDMO on Kontakt 3/Recceptor.
Do you know of anyone who has successfully done this?

and is it possible to load the library into Kontakt 3 , thereby bypassing the Kontakt player that comes with BDMO?

any help appreciated as I would love to be able to use your library on gigs with my receptor 2 Pro

I would also be interested to know if BDMO now works with new Receptor OS and Kontakt 2. Any update from Muse?
