Hello

I am trying to streamline a bit my plugin folder, and as i own Z2, but still enjoying ZebraCM and TripleCheese, i am wondering if it woudl be a good idea to try to import their respective presets in the Z2 preset folder and say "goodbye" to the DLL ?

- I think i have read once that Z2 coudl read ZCM patches, is that right ?
- Is it also the case with 3cheese ?
- Do you think it might be a good idea, or do you think that most of the interests of these two smaller synths relies on their more limited featureset and interface ? Wouldn't i lose the "vibe" of it if i open the presets in Z2 ?
- Is there any ZebraCM-alike skin available for Zebra ? (i like the Zcm skin a lot)

Thank you !

You can just put your ZebraCM h2p presets in the Zebra2 presets folder, and they will sound the same. I don't think it has another skin for it.
I never tried to import Triple Cheese presets, into Zebra before. If it saves as h2p, then maybe you can try it and see.
You won't "lose any vibe", switching when using ZebraCM presets in Zebra2. You will only gain more vibes, by doing that.

- Yes (like McNoone said), and it's worth it, because Zebra has been developed beyond ZebraCM, so you've got more options to tweak the presets etc.
- No (as far as I know)
- TripleCheese is a synth of its own, with a special "flavour". ZebraCM isn't.
- No. But with the new skinning options of Zebra2 you might be able to do something on your own and even recycle parts of the ZebraCM skin doing that.
Regards, V.

I'm pretty sure there are certain comb modes that the Z2 combs don't have but TC does. I've never tried to load a TC preset in Z2 though. :)
