does your account have admin priveleges?

This means that your registration file can not be written to the hard drive from within your host application. This unfortunately happens with some user modes. I'm working on this for the next update.
The quickest way to register is this:
- open WordPad with an empty text document
- write your user name in the first line
- write your reg code in the second line, like this:
- save the file as
C:/Program Files (x86)/u-he/Support/com.u-he.Uhbik.user.txt
Let me know if this does the trick... otherwise I'll work out a different solution tomorrow.
Cheers,
Urs

yay! thaaanks! it worked, I just had to repeat the classic registration once on one of the plugins after creating the txt on the right folder to make it work. Thanks again!

Cool!
Can you save presets though? - I might still have to come up with a workaround for that then...

UPDATE!
You will probably not beleive me but... while the init patch tells "registered to xx" I still get crackle noises...wtf is wrong with my puter?
anyway, when you got the time tell me if there's something I can do about it.

There's nothing wrong with your computer, but your OS is a pile of poop. I just went though similar issues. Turn off UAC. Move your VST folder out of your programs folder. I put mine in my user folder and all my problems went away... er, I mean most of my problems went away.

thanks, just did it, now I can save presets, I erased my previous DIY txt file and registered again, it worked... but I still get the damn crackle noises... (my vst folder was alread outside the program files folder, it's a folder called "VST" in c: root, I have a "VSTfx" folder inside then a u-he folder...
Yea I bought vista familial basic cause I'll invest in a serious windows7 when it will drop, until then I did not want to spend tons of cash on some super vista version.

Yeah, it came with the PC I just got so I'm stuck with it. I guess I could become a Windows 7 beta tester but I never want to have the conversation "Your software's not working... what OS am I using? Er..."nlesca wrote:thanks, just did it, now I can save presets, I erased my previous DIY txt file and registered again, it worked... but I still get the damn crackle noises...
