Hi there!
After some issues I now have installed and authorized Kontakt 3 on my receptor. Having a Mac and using Direct Install, I had to install the samplelibrary from the DVD's directly to receptor's harddrive. After reading this forum I know I'm not the only one! The library is installed in the samplefolder like this: samples/native instruments/kontakt 3 library etc...
Now when I'm using the patches from Direct Install it won't work. Choosing a receptor-patch, Kontakt says "samples missing" and gets stuck while showing the hourglass like forever... Have to reboot receptor every time. Have rebuilt the HD via Kontakt several times. I guess receptor's own bank/patch is hierarchically over Kontakt. The only .nki/.nkm files I can find in Kontakt's browser is undo or default files.
Before I knew there was a conflict between Mac and Direct Install I thought I did something wrong every time I installed (couldn't install the library) so I made some attempts from scratch. For some reason one of the installation where made in the root system's first level and all spread out, didn't pay attention... Tried to uninstall it, to get rid of these files. It didn't work out, the files are still there. I know I need root-access to get rid of them. Have an open ticket at plugorama hoping they will solve this for me.
So, my question is this: How do I make receptor and Kontakt 3 work together with banks/patches? The fact that I'm having two installations (one in program's folder and one in root system's first level) is it affecting in any way?
Thanks for any help!

Just solved the bank/patch-problem. Ignored the hourglass and pushed the searchfunction in Kontakt several times. Voilà!
Another thing though... I really need to get rid of some files in the rootsystem (the other Kontaktinstallation mentioned before). Not able to uninstall, the files are still there. How do I get rootaccess? Do I need regedit (I'm not that smart on computers) or is there another way to go? Using a MAC G5, OSX 10.5.7

Zibbe68, you might want to ask Muse support for their "banks and patches fixer". It's a little file you install on your Receptor that lets you delete stuff that the Receptor won't normally let you delete. Good luck!
