Run On Midi Note in Live7

so here's my problem. I'm using Live 7 and using effectrix 1.1.0 (both legit and registered)... when "run on midi note" is "on" the play head does not move at all... patterns will select but will not play

i have a range of keys mapped to the PatternSelect control for effectrix and that part is working fine. How do i get the "run on midi note" to work? I would like to trigger the effect and when i release the note i would like it to stop.

for some reason i'm having no luck with this

any advice?

Ok what the heck could i possibly be doing wrong? is there some special setting in live that i need to address before "Run on Midi note" will work at all?

Well that did it! i never knew i had to have a separate midi track armed, and send signal from it to the audio track where effectrix is. Problem solved!
