I was searching for information regarding installation of Arturia products (specifically Moog Modular) with little success, and then I ran into this bit from the Muse website:

Receptor serves as hardware player for Arturia synthesizers

Arturia has established itself as a premier developer of software re-creations of classic synthesizers. Receptor is a stand-alone VST player which allows you to run plug-in software all in a portable and easy to use hardware package. Combined, Receptor allows Arturia synth plug-ins to be used at live performance, or to be moved easily from studio to studio. The end result is the great sound of classic synths available in a portable and compact package, ready for the road.

"Arturia is pleased to be collaborating with Muse Research in bringing Arturia software to the Receptor platform" comments Frédéric Brun, co-founder and President of Arturia."Now Arturia customers have a hardware form of CS-80V to take to live performances, and a new platform which opens new possibilities for music creation."

Herein lies the core problem...announcing compatibility when none exists. From what I gather, this actually never happened. Is that true? Did you (Muse) actually announce compatibility before none existed? Is there any solution to make good on your word?

2004 - pre-synchrosoft I believe. I think you can still get the pre-synchrosoft versions to work on Receptor. Synchrosoft support is coming up though so maybe there is hope. Muse does tend to jump the gun on compatibility though.

Hi everyone,

The way I remember it, around 2004 (or so) there was this potential relationship between Muse and Arturia. The plugin in question was the (1.0) version of CS80V, and I believe Muse had an installer for it. There were some significant problems with it, and support questions were going unanswered from Arturia.

The things I've heard from Muse employees that happened was that once Arturia started concieving their own hardware, delivering their plugs on Receptor seemed canibalistic to their business, so that relationship dried up.

With the Receptor Receptor Pro (V1) and earlier machines, it was possible to install and use the (non-synchrosoft protected) Arturia VAs. Installing them however meant you needed to 'void' your warranty, and connect CD/DVD drive directly to your Receptor (to satisfy Arturia's challenge/response system). You also needed to update these plugs to a later (dot-dot update) versions, because the original 1.0s had horrible GUI response.

Hope this helps fill in some history. Regards,
