Hi

I already sent Lennard an email, but maybe some of you have experienced a similar problem :)

I purchased the Sylenth1 just a few days ago, the demo worked fine, no problems. Even though I installed the license file correctly I still get the nag sounds ("Thank you for trying this demo"). I uninstalled the demom cleaned my registry, reinstalled the full version, nothing helped.

Second problem is that sometimes the sound gets really distorted and a few seconds later my host (Ableton Live 8.0.4) crashes. I tried reinstalling Ableton, but that didn't help. Here I have a sample of how it sounds like...
demo.mp3 - 1.79MB (http://www.zshare.net/audio/63853561f99adebe/)
The first sound you hear is the PD SoftString, second one is the BS TranceBass, the third one is some GAT.

I'm working on Vista 32 bit, 3 Gigs RAM and an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300. Right now I'm trying to make sure the problem's not the audio interface, so I'm trying
both my external interface (Edirol UA-20) and my built-in soundchip,
both with different drivers.

Anyone here who has experienced a similar problem? Or has an idea what to try?

Cheers,
Andy

Please check if you are running the latest version by selecting "Check for updates" from the MENU button on the LCD screen. If you are not running the latest version, uninstall Sylenth1, search for files names Sylenth1.dll in your VSTPlugins folders and delete them all. Then download and reinstall the latest version from your license email.

If that doesn't fix the problem, please disable any software that might be interfering with Sylenth1's execution, like virusscanners or firewalls. Also check if DEP is not enabled in windows:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Window ... 11033.mspx

Make sure it is set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only".

I wish mine said 'updates available' when I clicked there

I have the latest version, and DEP is set correctly.

I'll try disabling my firewall and antivirus temporarily.

I still get the nag sounds though, any idea what might cause this? I completely wiped the demo off my hard drive and created new sets from scratch :? So either there's some copy of the old .dll somewhere, or a bad registry entry, or something's wrong with my license file :(

EDIT: Okay, just tried it again, still doesn't work. It still kills Ableton, and I still get the nagsounds :( I'll try creating a new user profile in windows, maybe that helps :? If it doesn't, I'll try it on a different PC..

Quick update, another profile didn't solve the problem, but trying it on another computer did. Guess I'll have to reinstall windows then^^

Anyways, thanks for trying to help me, much appreciated :)

Did you solve your problem?

I have same issue. Sylenth is up to date.

"Hi Joni Lahtinen,

You are using Sylenth1 version 2.202, which is the latest version of Sylenth1. There are currently no updates available."

I had problems running Sylenth in a nested menu. It likes to be in its own folder within VSTplugins, but no deeper (ie: VSTPlugins/Sylenth1/ as the path). The other usual solution if you are running Windows 7 is to make sure you install as Administrator...

Post

Yeah. Actually I installed it just like you said. As admin and VST\Sylenth1.

Well, maybe I'll reinstall Windows tomorrow, that should clear everything in registry anyways. And I'll make sure there isnt another sylenth1.dll anyewhere.

Hope it works.

EDIT: I tried reinstalling my DAW first and Sylenth seems to be working now! 8)

Hello,

After years, now I have the same problem and that's a very bad problem because it stops my production! I use Sylenth in every song!

I tried to reinstall but that doesn't work

I don't want to reinstall my whole system about a bug like this so I hope there is another solution???

Thank you for help!

I need Sylenth really urgent!

Did you use the demo with the license file or the download installer from your purchase email confirmation? That could be the issue.
And btw I have Sylenth1 on my portable studio on a usb with reaper and have no problem...

Thank you for answer!

No, I bought Sylenth in 2008 and installed the full version 2.2 and used the License File for that!

It worked since 2008 without problems! Today I started to work and that Demo message popped up?

EDIT:
I will try to backup my system perhaps that will fix that problem ...

OK, Fortunately a backup worked fine!

I'm getting it too. I spent hours trying to locate the source, then Googled it - I didn't think it was Sylenth, it's never done it before and it's a legit copy!
