I have a request to add loop tools to mdrummer.
I think it would be a good fit for mdrummer have the ability to import loops, slice them up and map them as per the usual paradigm (bass drum, kick drum, etcs...) and then according to the mapping have mdrummer generate a midi file so you can capture the feel of loop.
Rex support would also be welcome.

Hi, you mean audio loop slicing? I'm gonna be honest - this won't happen, at least soon. There is a lot of work right now, which is important, and also the loop slicing is kind of out-of-concept of MDrummer. So, I'm sorry, but I don't want to say yes when it will probably be no

LOL, I rather have honesty that false promises. So thanks!
The audio slicing, I thought would fit well with Mdrummer (all-in-one concept).
I pictured going to the drumset generator, loading a loop and then setting up audioslices and then setting up each slice to a percussion element.
But maybe I can already do that with with msampler? Can you set up start and end times in msampler? Sorry, i don't the program in front of me.

Well MSampler can delay the sample and you can use envelope to change its end, but it's rather clumsy for this.
I still don't understand how you would use that though. I imagine the simplest loop:
HHHHHHH
S S
B B B B
The hihat is at all quarters, so the sample can be extracted, but only if it short enough. Other drums can never be extracted, because at the same time at least the hihat is sounding. But yeah, I never used loop slicing, was always scared of the lots of work I'd have to do
