I have a few guitars, but I'm on the lookout for an electric 12-string and a semi, though for a semi I'd probably look at a Gretsch over a 335 style one, something with a bit more acoustic body (even if just feels like it). Ideally a White Falcon, but even with discounts I'd probably not stretch to one. That's kind of my favourite, so I'm happy to put off buying it for a few years yet - as they say "never meet your heroes".
335 is somewhat redundant if you have a Les Paul or SG. They’re different but not like a Gretsch, which is almost a completely different instrument. I would even say a 335 is closer to a strat than it is to a Gretsch.

Gretsch 6120’s sometimes sell for decent prices used. As long as it’s Made in Japan, you’ll love it.

They don't inform dealers on new releases in advance...? 🤔

Not this time. I’m looking forward to the reveal.

I haven't "needed" any new music software for 2 years, still putting money every month to it.
Shhhh hahaha I'm doing the same thing. But I switched to ''legit'' software only so I ''need'' some things for my workflow.

I’m definitely curious to see what Spectrasonics will put out there.

I couldn’t be happier with Trillian and should have gotten it a long time ago.

The announcement kept me from pulling the trigger on some purchases including the Zynaptiq stuff… but after looking at them more I don’t know if I’ll grab. I don’t think they’d get much use. They’re very specific tools for for specific uses.

Soo... anybody plan on using 50% off code on Spitfire audio? 28h left...
Music, just like tortilla, is no fun without a bit of "cheese". :clown:

Thought I typed this second sentence my thoughts exactly. I was just talking to a friend last night about how I should have bought Trilian a long time ago. Whatever is dropping on Tuesday as long as it’s a plug-in, I’m copping.

I hadn’t heard this. Chances are it’ll be great, I’ll really want it and… it won’t be cheap!

Are you safe?

NeuralDSP Soldano if they do 50% off like last year. Maybe Acustica Audio if they really go crazy low.

Going to try not going overboard. Easy to say now!

I have a Gretsch X-500 archtop, 1978 USA that I thought was greatly undervalued when I bought it from a area music shop about 15 years ago (under $1k). Gorgeous tone. I use flatwounds on it. My "335 wannabe" is a Gibson Chet Atkins Tennessean that I bought new around the same time for $1200 (it's orange 8)) . Also an undervalued gem IMO. A quick look at the net reveals that these both appear to be more "appreciated" these days, but follow your hands and ears. There are still good things out there.
Too many DAWs and plug-ins
