Does anyone have any experience successfully installing the "upgrade" version of their NI plug-ins? I've been a long time NI user, and so I have upgrade versions for Kontakt, Absynth and B4 II that I would like to install. Direct Install is reports errors when installing from both Macs and PCs. Am I out of luck?

In my own experience, out of memory :
- my NI updates required to have the previous version installed, even when they seem to be "full" installers.
For example, recently, this was the case when I wanted to install the K3-5 update on a fresh PC : I did have to install K3 first, because a "direct" 3-5 install would fail with an alert...
I admit it's a tedious extra-step, but in retrospect, it's always fast and straightforward.
- my upgrades, like K2 to K3, or GR2 to GR3, AFAIR did not need the older version to be installed.
