Hi

I have just begun using MReverb and I'm still struggling in finding a proper way
of using reverb generally in my projects.

I'd like to use MReverb for positioning (only) and a convolution reverb for reverberation.

There are a few questions arising from this. Should I use mono
instrument/audio tracks and use MReverb as insert? Or better as
send effect (where multiple instruments at (nearly) the same position
can share one instance)? But what about the direct panorama of the
tracks then?

best regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

well, that's hard to say. Generally I use it as insert always, but it depends on the host, if it makes mono tracks processed in stereo (I think most of them do). If not, mono result of the reverb wouldn't be very nice. MReverb seems to be very fast, so it shouldn't be a problem to have say 8 instances these days. But of course you can use it as send and then the panorama is actually "added". Which means if your track is 50% left and MReverb also causes 50% left, that it probably be 75% left (I think, not sure).
