Hey guys,

Just purchased the unlimited license and I am really excited about that.
Any idea when M3 will be coming out ? :)

Post

The M3 test phase is about going to start.

Then once it's rock solid, M3 will be released.

Jo,

Christmas is nearly upon us. It has already started to snow here in the UK.

Santa will be on his way soon.

Is it better to assume the M3 testing will be early JAN 2010 rather than end of DEC 2009.

Oz, is that a question or a suggestion?

Jo,

It is really back to the "you need a Christmas break too" kind of idea.

While I am dying to see M3 I am very much a realist and I can appreciate the amount of work you have been doing trying to get M3 to test ASAP.

Each day I look at my Emails and look at the forum to see if M3 has gone to test.

My poor heart cannot take the strain much more.

Jo I would love to see screen shots of what M3 looks like but I fear that would ruin the surprise.

I am like a big kid waiting for Santa.

If it were me I would release early JAN 2010 and have a rest during Christmas.

Bottom line is take your time.

I'm working like hell these days :phew: I would love a nice break, especially in this holiday period. But i won't feel good if i would pause at this point.

When i wrote, beginning december, that M3 would go into test soon, that was indeed realistic at that point. Unfortunatey i stumbled on something during testing and i did another serious R&D cycle on top of it because i didn't want to make a compromise on that specific technical aspect (object system => it's at the base of everything), because it's key to future developments.

That extra R&D cycle should be finished now, it looks ok, but i need to do a heavy music jam to stress test M3 again. Besides this there are a couple of minor tunings and fixes to be done, but can be done on a day (or 2). So i'm very much looking forward to heavily make some music here and see if it all is stable, and kill the (little (hopefully)) bugs that pop up during that stress test.

I continue finishing M3 and will release a first group test version as soon as it's stable enough. Releasing M3 before newyear became unrealistic. But releasing the first test version should/must be realizable. I still dream to be able to take a little break between Christmas and Newyear.

Shutting down now for the night.

Enjoy the snow! Talk soon :)

Everyone is excited including myself, but Oz is right, Take your time.
Get everything right.

Goodluck or should I say "Cheers"

Jo,

The snow keeps falling and the roads are very hard to use.

So for a bit of fun I thought I would write you a Christmas song (more of a track as there are not many words in it) rather than send a card.

So with lots of expense spared and no real attention to detail I have written you a song.

It is called RoboHoHoHo. It tells the story of a mechanised Santa Claws that uses "MUBOTS" to make toys for all the good boys and girls.

I will set the scene for you …

It starts off with the workshop door opening and then you can hear the MUBOTS using their workshop tools to build the toys.

Keep listening until the end.

Jo I wrote it with you in mind, as you are working very hard trying to get M3 test finished.

I hope you like it. Anyway it is the thought that counts. I will send it to your Email account in a few moments time.

Anyway Merry Christmas Jo and thanks for writing MULAB M2.

(Unfortunately I am still working out the legal side of my music so I cannot release it to other MULABers)

While I am here I would also like to wish all MULAB forum members a very Merry Christmas.
