Triggering Envelopes in Legato Mode

HI Guys,
I'm using an envelope to sweep the filter cutoff every time a note is triggered, but the sound I'm working on is designed for playing legato phrases. The problem is that the envelope only triggers when a single note is played - it sees overlapped/legato notes as a continuation of the first note in the phrase. Is there any way to overcome this so that it triggers even on legato notes?

Use an MSEG for this instead. Set the Trigger to mono. The first note in the legato phrase will start it and releasing all notes will reset it.nomis66 wrote:HI Guys,

Yes, but the MSEGs behave exactly the same as the envelopes. The notes in each phrase overlap each other slightly (so as to benefit from the legato/glide function) but the MSEG only triggers on the first note of the phrase.

I don't think you can do that in legato mode.
You'll need to do that using retrigger mode.
You could then still have a glide going in retrigger mode.
edit: There is something else you could try using an mseg set to one sources tune modulation. In retrigger mode. I'll 1st check it out, and get back to you on that.

I have a similar question. I want glide to continue on a new note action in legato mode, so the new note i play glides from the previous note. I think on some synths this option is called "auto".
Any idea?
