hello,

I went on youtube and saw a mu.lab tutorial where a guy was splitting up audio into pieces. At the bottom right hand corner where the pencil and arrow is located, he also had an eraser and a kind of a cross link that he used to cut the audio into seperate pieces which he routed into different racks for different effects. I have the ulimited version and cannot find this feature. I only have the pencil and arrow.

Is this feature available ?

The tool box has been evolved during MU.LAB's growth.

In MU.LAB 2.7:

* Split a part: Right-click part at split point and choose Part->Split

* Erase a part/note: [Alt]+click on the start/end of a part/note. Or just select all relevant parts/notes and press [Delete]

I am working with 2.5 would I still be able to use this feature ?

Afaik there is no change in the tool behaviour between 2.5 and 2.7.

I was about to make a new thread about tools, but why not use an old (already) one... ?
So, Mu.Lab is great as a clean GUI and workflow.
I understand that some of the tools are more or less "contextual" (you grab the note/wav by the middle = choose/ move, you grab the note/ wav by the end = change duration. As much as I am used to FL and Reason tools for MIDI editing (each function having a particular tool that you have to choose) I think that having all the tools "on the screen" would clutter the screen and would sacrifice the "cleanliness" of the GUI.

Still, is that any chance to put there a line tool ?
(was line tool in Reason 3, richt click in FL) When Reason 4 took that out of the MIDI editing tools made editing a pain in the a......eyes.

A line tool would help :D

Yes, there is a 'line tool' in MU.LAB 3.
