Hello Blue Cat. I just purchased the Dynamics plug (the discount was a nice bonus- thank you!). I opted for VST (in Sonar P6 here), got it installed but it indicates it is still the demo version. How do I run the registration for it?
On the free plugs; are there any differences in 'stereo flanger' and 'flanger (stereo)' for example?
Last- and this one is going to be an odd one :>) - I was interested in doing an experiment in where the level of each sample in an audio steam is reduced, by a ratio to volume, just as a compressor does, but with the difference being no attack or release delay. I was surprised to see this dynamics plug allows '0 attack and release. I haven't yet played with this, but this is a good time to ask; Could 0' x 0' mean it could process a new value for each sample?
Thanks again
Wayne Smith
Three quickies please

Hi,
when you purchased the plugin you have received a download link to the non-demo version. Make sure that you use this very installer and not the other one
. If you install the appropriate the version you will be asked the registration code during installation.
The "stereo" versions offer an aditional settings compared to the normal (stereo) plugin. For example the stereo flanger has a "stereo" setting to produce a stereo effect (left and right processed differently) whereas the flanger (stereo) plugin is just the mono version (same processing for left and right channels) that processes a stereo signal.
If you use 0 for attack and 0 for release then the Blue Cat's Dynamics plugin will act as a waveshaper because the computed envelope will basically be the valu of the current sample. It's interesting to create distortion effects, but I am not sure that it will do what you expect.
The reason why you need attack and release parameters is to indicate to the processor how fast it should react to volume changes.
