Are Melda plugins completely skinnable?

I know that it is already possible to change the colours of individual plugs.

I don't understand if MTexturedStyleEditor can be used for complete reskins?

If MTexturedStyleEditor is able to reskin the Medla plugs, any extra info on the subject would be useful!

Thanks :)

Hey Pat,

yes, MTexturedStyleEditor can completely change our plugins appearance, sizes etc... Extra info - well, you can ask ;). Our GUI system is extremely complicated, so it would cover a set of books I'm afraid :D

Cool, so I can make a tiger skin theme if I really wanted  :hihi:

Understanding the controls a little better would help. I tried loading an image into one of the sections but the file browser didn't show me any image files.

Do I have to load a theme into it to begin modding?

Working backwards will help me to understand this thing.

How do the plugins store the image data if the themes are saved as xml files?

Thanks

Pat

Hehe, yeah, it can look many different ways ;).

Well the controls - I can answer some techdetails, but basically I'd rather don't get into too much detail, because as I said, this could take a few books.
Anyway it accepts only JPG and PNG files (maybe even PNG only, not sure right now).

When you load a supplied example style, it will remember it. Next time you start it, you will continue where you have ended last time. When you export it, it will create a MRF file, which you can put to global styles directory (search for MRF files) for our effects, or "Styles" directory in MDrummer.

Image data are stored as hexa streams in the XML.

Cheers!
