Batch convert .fxp to .fxb

I already have tried DM bankmaker2 and get some access violation error everytime (using windows 7, maybe some incompat. since the converter is so old).

Any other alternatives?

specifically, I am using Sylenth1, and it does not allow me to import mulptiple .fxp files. I have hundreds and loading one by one then finally saving as a .fxb would be very time consuming.

I just found "minihost" http://tobybear.phreque.com/files/minihost_164.zip

Windows only. Open it up, click VST, load the VST. Then click presets, show preset manager. click load patches or w/e it was (it's the .fxp one). You can select any number of .fxp files (I precategorized them in regular window's folders), selected all, then clicked Open. Then saved bank as .fxb.

Note: sylenth 1 did not come with an init bank. so I just removed the factory banks from the sylenth1 program files/vstplugins folder and opened sylenth. An empty bank loads. I just saved that as a .fxb using the sylenth1 menu option "save bank .fxb".

In summary, I group all my individual .fxp in windows folders for different categories (leads, pads...). Then I load the empty bank .fxb in minihost, load all my .fxp desired for a bank, then save them as a bank .fxb.

takes a while, but it works. although, I think I preffer just using my DAW's browser, and just drag the .fxps, since it gets tedious loading each bank using sylenth1, then clicking the 1,2,3,4 icons to find the one i'm looking for.

Its 2018 but i am still using vst patches / fxbs and ran into that problem:

Its so easy to load multiple fxps, create banks, save banks, etc.

Try my guide. Though you will likely need to create a blank .fxb file for your particular plugin since my guide is for Sylenth1. Look for a 'clear' function in your VST's menu, then save as a blank .fxb.

Yeah, no such luck for TAL U-No-62. No clear function or anything similar.

Basically i only used the Programm minihost to create a bank:
Just download minihost and start it, point the directory were your vst-files are and scan that directory.
Then choose plugin, tal u no 62.

Click presets, show preset manager.

In preset manager you can create a blank vst-bank or you just load all fxp files in the bank of your vst.
I clicked at patch nr. 22 (the first one which was empty). Then i choose „use filename“ (as patchname) and loaded all my fxp. After that all my fxps were imported at patch no 22,33,24,...

Then i just saved THAT as fxb - so you have now a fxb bankfile with the standard presets and your imported presets. Its really easy.

Ah, I see. You moved the presets into the 'blank' spaces of the existing factory bank then moved just the new presets over into the new bank in the preset manager, yes? Seems that way.
