Hello! I'm relatively new to this forum, and couldn't find a similar support topic. Maybe it is just my machine but I haven't been able to achieve recognition of filterscape VST files in Ableton Live 8.1, and Wavelab 6 ess on my windows 7 desktop.
Does anyone know if it should work with this configuration?
Gigabyte P55-UD4P
Intel i5 720 ~3.0ghz
8gb low voltage ram
nvidia 9800gtx (known driver conflicts?)
creative EMU1616m
Windows 7 + updates
Latest Ableton Live S 8.1
Wavelab 6 essential
I just reinstalled win7 8 days ago and have all the chipset etc drivers on, and my desktop, just 7 months old, is stable and not prone to malfunction.
I tried using folders on multiple drives to scan for the vsts, and nothing.
I also redownloaded the FilterscapeVSTWin1.1.zip in case it was corrupted.
I uncompressed it both with 7zip and by dragging the folder thru windows explorer.
Wavelab responds with: "The module Filterscape.dll cannot be loaded." etc
and Live8.1 just doesn't show the folder or vsts when scanned for plugs.
so there is some incompatibility going on here! Right now I haven't the faintest idea though...
If I could find the help I need that would be amazing to me, because I am really stumped on this one. The requirements of filterscape on the website appear to not require 32 bit, vista or lower, or anything else I can't match.
Thanks for all. There is a lot for me to learn in this forum.

Well Urs, thankyou. It's like this - I posted, I went to the gym, I came back and the dev himself had the perfect fix for me.Urs wrote:Hmmm... how's this going:

Let me know,

IT WORKED! YOOOW. Nice, man. Thank you!
I could even install it to my VST folder outside of my windows drive like I want it. and I can move it around and it works the same(like most vsts?). Perfect! Now I have it and can have fun with it XD THANKYOU!!
Also works in Wavelab.
Thanks so much man, idk what the problem was?
you have made my day for sure.

A BIG thank you from me in advance. My jaw dropped when I read the OP as my system is VERY similar. Looks like I have a solution if I run into any difficulties myself during my transition from Windows XP to Windows 7.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
