I had to think this one longer.... by now is the wrong title
We have a Menu for selecting compositions.
Why don't we have a Matrix (Excel type) instead so that we can choose the compositions in real time.
I know what you thinking... LIVE.
Nope...
MU.LIVE!
:love::love:
There is more to it.... but for know I need to know what's your take on this one.

BTW I was also thinking of using a second level Composer view to line up the Compositions, similar to the parts in the regular composer window, once the right sequence in the Matrix is achieved.
But we would need a way to Chop those compositions at the desired timeline before line them up in the new Composition's Composer....
If those compositions would appear in a Modular Area then we could apply individual/global parameters with your built-in devices.
Bye Bye LIVE!
Can you imagine what monster this thing would be? $$$
(It's Friday and I'm having brain short-circuit at work!!
)
Seriously... What do you think?

The Muzys playroom was (is) and extremely simple and powerfull tool where you where able to mix your projects on the fly! Like if you where a dj jamming a session:-o I hope to see it reincarnated in Mulab.
I used it in some projects, one of them was a 17 miniproject remix. I have the MP3 and you could get an idea, but i don't know where to upload it now.

I took off for an early lunch, went home, went through my old CDs from CM magazine and... GOT IT! Muzys!
I know what you mean. It's quite close to what I was thinking.
I see that it needs to load the sessions in order to play them. Is this necessary due to the way it was coded? That would not be practical for a live performance or for a real jam session.
Also in Muzys the new Session was combined with the parts from each session and no overlapping.... (so far as my Muzys test showed).
I was thinking of having those individual sessions becoming Parts in a Jam Session Composer window, which would be like LIVE Clips but in time a line fashion, still independent from each others, giving more flexibility and control plus modular audio flow control with built in devices.
In other words, Parts would be Compositions/Clips. That's more power than LIVE I think.

Yes, the sessions all needed to be loaded but I thought you could play them using Patch Change? You'd need a second sequencer to control the playroom, of course... But it was very nice for jamming locally.

Muzys' Play Room allowed to jump from 1 composition to another, perfectly synced to the beat.
And all this jumping from composition A to B to C to B to D to A etc was recordable and resulted in a new completely editable composition.
Very useful as well for live situations as well for studio jamming.
It's one of the Muzys things i still would like to reincarnate. Personally i don't think it comes on the first place. But more on this in the M4 chat in +- a month. (depends on when i've finished some other tasks, and could take a little break)
Yes, things had to be loaded beforehand but i don't think i would trust any computer to do heavy session loads including VSTis and samples etc while the music is playing live! Chance on an audio click or pop is there. (i mean it's not only about the app, it's also about the OS)
Better to take two computers for that: 1 playing and 1 preparing. Also much safer in case on of them does something weird. Then you immediately have the other one as SOS.

I didn't know Muzys was on a CM DVD. I am going to have some good time exploring Muzys.
