Hi Misteria!

I got your PM question - however I could not send a reply as you have set to not accept PM...
- Sorry, the person you are trying to Private Message has chosen not to accept Private Messages. - ...so I qoute my answer here.

Hi Mistheria!

Glad to read your message - however please note that I am no official Cantabile support - I am just a fan doing the best I can whenever possible. :-o

Switching subsessions via program change should work.

I am not sure what you refer to with CC146... that does basically not exist as continuous controllers are in the usual midi range of 0..127... I guess you refer to posts about "Midi Button Filter" ? That's something different and as far as I see you do not need that.

Try the following:

- Go to "Setup Tab" and open "MIDI Assignments"

- send any program change by pressing one of your buttons
> You will see Controller: "Progam xxx on..."

- choose form popup Assign to the entry "Subsessions - Load Subsession"
> The Controller will change to "Program Change on..."

- Now click "Assign" button, then "Close" button.

This should work.

Some additional troubleshooting hints:

Do not forget to click "Assign" button before closing the MIDI Assignments dialog box.

Do not select form popup Assign to the entry "Subsessions - Load Specific Subsession". This creates a 1:1 assignment from any program change command to one specific subsession in Cantabile

Make sure you have set program numbers with your subsessions.

Hope this helps.

If not feel free to reply.

Good luck for your performance!

TiUser.

Hi TiUser,

thanks a lot for your support! It helped me so much to setup my live performance today!

Yesterday I found a temporary solution (waiting for your answer) assigning a MIDI CC switch #93 available on my Keytar to control the Next Subsession parameter in Midi Assignements window. But the problem was that this switch needs "double-click" to send data and I can only manage it with the right hand (that I need to play ;)

Instead with your helpful advice I could exactly set Sessions in the way I needed, controlling subsession changes thru standard Program Change allowing me to manage it with the proper hand (Left) from the Keytar. Awesome!

Thanks again, you "saved" my performance today! :)

Glad it helped and I was fast enough...

Maybe you should activate PM reception next time? :hihi:

Good luck with your performance. :tu: I've seen some of them in YouTube - awesome!
