Toggle waveforms with assignable buttons?

I would like to know if I can set my assignable buttons to toggle through the waveforms. I am using FL Studio 9 and the MPK88. Right now the only two positions the buttons can select is the first form when depressed and the last form when the button is pressed. The button sends out midi data 0 for off and 127 for on so Sylenth1 can only toggle between the two. Anyone know the trick or is the a limitation in either Sylenth, my controller or my DAW?

I am able to cycle through the waveforms with the novation nocturn in FL, so you should definitely check with your controller.

A toggle button will usually toggle between midi value 0 and 127. You can not use such button to toggle through a parameter list, because there would be no midi value directly linked to the parameter value. Let's say you've automated the waveform selection this way via midi cc, the value reads 127, now which waveform was selected? There's absolutely no way either host or plug-in could know.
Sylenth1 uses the midi value to select the proper waveform. So you could link the waveform selector to a midi knob or a fader without problem, but not to a button, unless you can configure your midi controller to add a certain midi value each time you press the button (for example: 0, 16, 32, 48, ...)
