Since I cant figure out how to do this natively in max I'm trying to use multiple pizmidi plugins to filter and split the various midi cc automations coming from one instance of energy xt into various maxmsp number boxes. I am thinking to use midiConverter3 for this purpose.
Problem is whenever I move a parameter in a pizmidi plugin those movements just get recorded as repeating automations (xt midi out to pizmidi control in and pizmidi midi out to max object).
Whats going on? How can I avoid this and does someone know of a better way to try and do what I'm trying to do either native in max or with pizmidi?

i'm not sure i understand exactly what you're trying to do. maybe it will make sense if i try the Max demo.

what I'm trying to do isn't really important compared to the behavior of the piz midi plugins inside max/msp when 1: the midi out from energyXT is connected to the control in on your plugins and 2: the energyxt transport is running and 3: I move any piz midi parameter and those movements instantly get recorded and begin looping.
and this could be normal behavior in max/msp for all I know because i'm just doing the demo too but its got me nice and befuddled

probably better to ask at the Cycling 74 forums, but if other vsts work differently from mine in the same situation then i would be interested to figure out why.
