I've got a query about Ubhik Q, I've been using it to cut the very low freqs out of basses, using the 'cut' button at 24.
It seems to cut a lot higher than 24hz.
What fequencies is it cutting at? And how steep is the filter cutoff?
Thanks
Guy

Hmmm... it's a 4-pole highpass filter. If the maths are correct, then the 24 setting should have 12dB attenuation at 24Hz. The curve would indeed start to bend about an octave higher though, maybe even more. Things are hard to measure down there as anything FFT/Spectrum Analyser gets blurry on low frequencies.

Ok, that makes sense then.
I guess I need to find an alternative if I want more low end energy there.
Thanks for the reply

Hmmm.... have you tried boosting the bass at the same time? Kind of like the Pultec does it.
I think I should render some graphs at some point.
