Hello Urs!
Since i bought Zebra it has been the only synth used on 98% of my sessions. Why not 100%? well i dont always have energy to make my own sounds and sometimes go for another synth for it's presets.
Anyways, i use the VST to RTAS wrapper, and it works flawlessly.
I have some questions and whishes.
1. Is the synth slow on responding to automation?
When I automate a filter to slowly open up before the end of a section/bar 4/4,
I close it on the first line of the nexcoming bar and it wont close directly. I have to set it slightly before.
Same with automating any other parameter, especially release. Or this is even worse. Why does the releaseparameter have such a long decay?
2. What would it take to be able to use the hotkeys in Pro Tools to (PC ctrl+alt+win) enable plugin automation for this parameter.
Simply clicking the cutoff or volume or anything will directly open up on the desired track. Workflow is really slow in PT i think and sometimes impossible to achieve because of the poor info of the automation names in the automation section of the synth. (hope you know what i mean)
Example: I want to automate the volume for Comb1 and the cutoff for VCF1.
i know by trial and error what the number is for VCF1(i memorized it)
Have no idea about volume for Comb1 so i have to start testing.
You mentioned earlier in another thread that you have the option to get a more informative list for the automation, but i never got it working and i got no more feedback on how to do it.
Please help out to make this FANTASTIC synth faster to work with.

RTAS Mac already exists, RTAS Win is on the menu maybe for next year. I will need to hire a devloper for that though, which is why I'm moving into a new studio & office space.
I'm not sure if I enabled ctrl-alt-cmd on Mac, but I remember that I looked into it. If it doesn't work on Mac then it's a feature that can't be implemented without jumping through hoops.
The new manual will have an explanation about customisable parameter names. There's actually a table of customised parameter names which go like "VCF1:Fc" instead of just "Fc" already there. You just have to replace it. It's in the Support diretory.
/noteToMyself: Tell Howie about that...
As for the soft parameter changes, you can either have soft parameter changes or zipper noise. I voted for soft parameter changes. Just draw your automation 20 ms early.
Later,
Urs

Are you keen on jumping through hoops? =D
Keep up the good work.
Or as The US president once said: Ich bin "ein" Berliner.
