I'm using the latest 2.5 release with Reaper. When I move the low shelf, mid1 or mid2 buttons, the hi shelf button will disappear or move to another random spot on the EQ graph.

*edited to add:

1 more smaller issue- sometimes I notice display artifacts on the GUI (thin lines) after closing a module.

*edited to add another thing:

I recently switched from Sonar to Reaper. I went back to Sonar and tried to replicate the EQ problem, but couldn't.

*and another thing:

I'm going to make sure I post what I need to post the first time, instead of adding all this stupid crap as an afterthought.

I tried to get this effect in Reaper (AU as well as VSTi), but no luck. Latest Zebra2, recent Reaper on iMac.

Win + Reaper, anyone?

I can reproduce this using Zebra 2.5 on Win XP SP 3 in Reaper 3.73. Here's an image of the settings most likely to trigger the bug:

With the the two mid bands in place, drag and release the low shelf close to band 2, then drag and release the low shelf a little further away.

Peace,
Andy.
... space is the place ...

Sounds like that bug in Live where Live couldn't handle having 12 parameters automated at once...

Will look into it and maybe file a bug report...

I had this eq problem with my old mac g4.
It happened in Live and Reaper as well.
I think my computer was just to slow for 2.5 at that time.
My newer computer has no problems.

So what are your system specs?

Yeah, Ableton fixed it in Live...

Well, someone should notify Reaper devs...

Here's what happens:

Some advanced ui controls will send gesture notifications for multiple parameters. A good example are XY-controls. Another example may be interactive EQ controls. My EQ-control may send automation data for up to 20 parameters at once. Hosts have to be prepared for this, and any host that confuses the parameters must be fixed. This is for instance the case if the host sends parameter values associated with one of the first parameters in the list back as if associated with the last parameters.

Cheers,

;) Urs
