Using samples in daAlpha2K

William, first of all a big thanks for making a major upgrade like 2.24 available for free! I purchased daAlpha2K V1 begin this year and completely forgot to update it before I became member of KvR last month. I found that the sound quality has improved in this version + I like the sample import very much!

A question about the latter : If I want to use my own samples, do I have to put them in the same folder where the preset samples are or can I use a new folder (or subfolder)?

Also, do you or someone else have any more tips to make the best of sample use (eg. should I 'embed' the note number in the sample?, what's the best note (C2, C3, C4..) to sample?, what sample rate and frequency should I use?, does daAlpha2K retain my loop points?)?

That's great, it makes me happy to see a happy user!

Since it saves the full path name, you can place mostly anywhere.

Use mostly middle C note, 44100hz is best - any other sample-rate is resampled to 44k anyway. Yes, it will retain your loop points.
