Hi,
I have been using Zebra 2.5 for a week now and I am just starting to try more complex edits and have some questions about editing the MSEG. According to the manual there should be templates, but I do not see a dropdown menu for this as I have clicked everywhere. I also am not seeing where I can add points in the mseg. I see these buttons below the grid <> <> ~~~ The line on the end is the draw tool right? Nothing happens when I click this. What am I missing here, or not understanding?
Thanks
Paul

I highly recommend you read Howard's manual and the section on MSEGs. It's the stuff I wish I had when I was learning Zebra at the beginning
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=304206
The MSEG stuff starts on page 50.
To load presets, click on the Preset box on the lower right hand of the gui, has the word "default" in yellow:

To create a new handle/point (max. = 33)
Mac - cmd+click on the background
PC - alt+click on the background
Hope that helps.

[I did read pg 50 and the default box you showed is not under that gui, it is off to the side of it and there are no presets in it. That is why I am posting because I dont see them.

The manual states at the beginning it uses the default GUI and not the Dark Horse UI for explanations. Regardless, I'm glad you found the UI element in the Dark horse gui.zbpc1 wrote:I did read pg 50 and the default box you showed is not under the that gui.
Zebra currently doesn't ship with any MSEG presets/templates. That may or may not change in the future. I checked the manual and the only mention of templates are for oscillators.zbpc1 wrote:...there are no presets in it. That is why I am posting because I dont see them.
But don't fret, as dsp music said there are several user contributions to the MSEG preset library:
http://u-he.com/PatchLib/presets/mseg/N ... -GATES.zip
http://u-he.com/PatchLib/presets/mseg/D ... _MSEGs.zip
http://u-he.com/PatchLib/presets/z2/MK_FreePatches.zip
The commercial soundbank by Howard Scarr also has some MSEG templates:
http://u-he.com/zebra/index.php?item=science
I highly recommend that bank if you're a fan of the Zebra factory bank.
The Transmission soundset also has 200 MSEG templates, you can see the complete list in the manual:
http://u-he.com/zebra/download/z2_trans ... manual.pdf
Finally, you can save MSEGs you find in Zebra2 presets to build up your own library of MSEGs. Just right-click the Preset box and chose "save MSEGx settings".

MSEG presets *will* be included. The manual available here in KVR is a "beta", it includes a few references to features only available in the next update.

Hey guys,
For some reason my MSEG's are saving in Version 2.6, but when re-loaded they simple dont work, they are ALWAYS blank, any ideas?
Mark
PS - I have opened the files in a text editor and there is certainly lots of information in the h2p file.
