How do I import samples to Kompakt?

I have a receptor 1 Rev. C running 1.7. I want to import my own WAV. to Kompakt. Some people suggested that I can drag and drop WAV files in the SAMPLE folder of Kompakt. Kompakt will not let me drop samples or create a new folder for my samples. I read on this forum that sometimes you have to get PERMISSION to be able to import files to Kompakt. Is this true? If it is, how do I get permission. I bought the receptor from ALTERNATE MODE pre-loaded with AM's Kompakt and Superior drums.

Is there a low cost alternative to KOMPAKT?

Can anyone help me?

Thank you and God bless

You must use a computer, and access the Receptor Hard Drive.
There you will see all the folders, and inside the 'Samples' folder, there should be a list of all the plug-ins that use samples.
Find Native Instruments, and then Kontact.
I've created my own folder in there for Kontact, called 'My Kontact Samples'
It's not necessary, but if you plan on importing a lot, it's helpful to have a single location to go to.

Anyway ~ you drag your samples into there.
Once there, the Kontact GUI will see them, and then you can import them into to Kontact to create an instrument to save.

Everything worked just like you said JayVee. I appreciate your advise and time.
