I am at the depths of despair at the moment. I have just spent £2,500 on a Pro Max and quite frankly haven't seen it earn it's money yet. It's too slow! It freezes too much and using Uniwire with Ableton - forget it.
I thought it was the sample rate at first, but I've tried 128, 256, 384, 512, 768, 1024, 1280, 1536, 1792, 2048, 3072 and 4096, it screws up on every setting. It just can't keep up! What on earth is the problem? If this happened live I'd be kicked out the back door!
This is not what I expect for this kind of money and this kind of spec, it supposedly has a 3 GHz processor, well my laptop has 2.5 (same amount of RAM) and is loaded with stuff and it's running rings round it at the moment. In the video adverts it says it uses Linux because of it's CPU efficiency! The entry level Receptor 1 in the video even runs faster! Anyone know what's going wrong?
Lagging, loss of sound, problems, etc

If you "just purchased" your Receptor you likely still have free phone support. Of course if you are in the UK - maybe not free (international call)? In that case you probably should open a ticket at Plugorama. I don't believe "slow" is a typical Receptor issue. good luck -

I'm hoping it's not! I hope it's fixable I've been saving for a year and a half for this. Have raised a ticket with Muse, didn't think of that before.
Out of interest I switched the audio I/O to the sound card in the laptop (crap) and it got a lot better! Still not perfect though and the Receptor's still slow on it's own at times
