Hi,
I own a Receptor 2 pro and I would like to know if I can upgrade the processor (now intel E7200)with intel E8400 or 8600 by myself.
Could anyone tell me if my motherboard supports it? I don't know what motherboard is inside.
Thanks in advance.

E7200,8400,and 8600 all will be compatible on your motherboard and heat sink. So feel free to upgrade. I do have to warn you that any work done to a Receptor outside of our repair facility is not warranted.
Thanks,

The Receptor host program is looking at all the hardware specs: hard drive, processor ram, etc. If you changed one of these and the combination isn't one that's "Known" by the system (ex: a Receptor 2 PRO MAX should have E8400 with 1 terabyte hard drive). If the specs the system sees don't match any factory specs then it'll list unknown.
