Now I have a bit time to play a bit with Zebra, but right after I tried to make my own sounds I ran into some trouble: when I add more oscillators, where the heck are the ADSR envs? There's just one of them, no matter how many OSCs I add to a patch.
Noob question about Zebra OSC ADRS envs

Hi,
Now I have a bit time to play a bit with Zebra, but right after I tried to make my own sounds I ran into some trouble: when I add more oscillators, where the heck are the ADSR envs? There's just one of them, no matter how many OSCs I add to a patch.

You choose an ADSR (or any modulation source) as modulation source and it gets added automatique. It only shows the modules you're using.

Zebra2 has 4 traditional ENV modules and 4 multi-segment envelope (MSEG) modules. It's up to you to decide how and where they are used. There are no default Amp Envs or Filter Envs. You have to make the modulation selection yourself.opus_diaboli wrote:when I add more oscillators, where the heck are the ADSR envs? Oscillators are not tied directly to envelopes. The only implicit pairing I can think of is LFO1 is tied to most sound sources for vibrato, which is why LFO1 appears on the right as soon as you add an FMO, OSC, or Comb device in the grid.
So why is Env1 there in the init patch on Zebra2? The answer is at the bottom of the Grid Lanes on the synthesis page when you first start Zebra2:
Those 4 square boxes that say "Env1" aren't just for show. You can select them and set them to Gate, or Env1-4. Try setting them all to Gate on the init patch. You'll see the Env1 module on the top right disappear. If you want more than 1 amp envelope just set one of the other lanes to a different Env. As of 2.5 you cannot directly use an MSEG as an Amp Envelope, this has been a requested feature.-

Thank you guys. Special thanks to bmrzycki (what a difficult nick) for explaining the concept behind this.

And another thanks for the clear explanation too...Opus: we should donate a few vowels to him for that.
