Yes it is. You know, transition from Win32 to Win64 was basically seamless. Transition from Mac32 to Mac64 is exactly the opposite.

No, right now it is all carbon based. Note that this is not the only problem. In fact I'm really looking forward to see the executables, because even Mac32 ones are huge compared to Win32, actually they are bigger than Win64...

Yes, the bridges are never really perfect. The question is if you really need 64-bit. I'm not justifying nonexistence of the 64-bit version, just saying that because I have found many people do not need it at all and they even think the audio quality will be better, which is a pure nonsense. BTw:
