I have all my own drum kit samples and have been using muzys as a notepad if ya like. not for serious editing.
Tempo Track is were im having problems...
What sort of part do i create?
how do i trigger time changes?
what do i insert to trigger time changes?
i have read the instructions in "HELP", tryed to follow but didnt get it. (many times).
Dont want to change to anything else, i like the program, i can think of a beat, double click the icon and start writnig with my own sounds from studio.
I apolagize for being a bit of a noob with old software, but any help on this will be appreciated.

Pop down to the MU.TOOLS forum where the developer lives and say "Hi"
.
Have you tried right-clicking the time ruler above where the parts sit? I have a very, very vague memory it's on there somewhere.

Cool, I like it, it does what it does very well, not to complex.fortunedsouls wrote:muzys? wow.... i'd tried a demo on win 7 but it never worked. i do remember when i had a demo of it on win xp or whatever, it was the shit!
being a drummer, that suits me.
never seen a demo version, the version i have, i got of a dj friend, off the cover cd of the magazine "computer music".
I am Running it on two machines, Both Win 7 Ultimate, one 32bit, one 64 bit.
no problems for me with win 7. I just copied the main folder with everything in, double click the icon, point it to your sound card and it was done.
no installation needed.
if i could just get my head round this tempo track i will be a happy dude.
Cheers for your reply

No trouble. To have a thread moved just ask any moderator -- bluedad, Manytone, and I are the most active ones but here's the list: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/groupcp.php?g=6468
And I ought to have said the MUTOOLS forum; beg pardon.

Not that Muzys is still supported, but as an exception, here is some essential info:
-> You can record tempo changes using the Tempo Controller, it's in the TOOLS menu.
-> You can also create tempo sequences manually: Draw new part + insert tempo events using the List Editor.
-> Tempo parts must be on the first track, otherwise they're not properly scanned when chasing the composition when repositioning the play cursor.
-> You can edit tempo parts using the List Editor.
Hope this helps.
Please also evaluate upgrading to MU.LAB when it fits your creative flow.

Most Usefull. i shall be playing with later.
I know i need to upgrade, but muzys has allways served me well, on our last album, we started pushing certain riffs.
Say if a song is 120bpm mostly, we would up the tempo to 122 during the chorus and drop back to 120 for main riff.
dosent sound like much but it did stop certain things from labouring.
bit tricky to get used to playing with but i got it.
(we somtimes rush a touch when we play live so its kinda natural).
Muzys helped me with ideas, months before we go into pre production i can have 3 or 4 beats per riff & endless fills. that can get forgotten by the time we have got together & jammed parts.
Using muzys as a notebook for drums was/is killer.
Shame its not suported anymore, but hey, the world moves on.
(still think its great software though)
Will check out MU.LAB soon.
(After next album, still have tons of stuff for this one on muzys)
Thanks for the reply and help.
