I've read here: http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/news/59523 ... is-2-Score that Hans Zimmer is doing the music for Crysis 2. Since he's a big fan of Zebra there's a good chance we'll hear it in Crysis 2.

If anyone got more info please post.

BUT what if he's using the synths of the competition this time, eh???

:hihi:

You mean "has done" already right? It's dropping on 25 March in online stores (Steam etc) so I'd imagine the music's well finished by now :D

I just got around to watching 'Inception' yesterday and was really impressed with the music.
I had no idea Hans Zimmer did the score to that, but wow, what a job he did for the climax scene. He just pushed the tension; that part would not have been the same without the music.

And also not without the 52 Zebras that do the percussions

I know you've said it but somehow i am finding it hard to believe and a bit ridiculous that these percussions are Zebra :? Some FX or pads i can get that but percussions...

They do sound amazing (percussions in Inception) but more like true Orchestra percussion library (or live recording) :?:

So can you clarify on which part he used 52 zebras for percussions?

As far as Hans and Howie told me, they were triggered by live played drums.

Hans uses Zebra a lot for pseudo-realistic sounds, e.g. many of the "monks" in Angels & Demons are done with Zebra. There's even a 3-minute part with only choirs from Zebra and violin from Joshua Bell.

Whenever you hear a "synth" it's most likely to be a Moog Modular or a Roland System 700.

Zebra does incredible percussion... Overall, I think it is the best percussion synth you can buy.

If there's ever a percussion program mode with a way of mapping more sounds to the keyboard, it will easy be the best... and I'll probably be selling my new copy of Attack within the hour!

EDIT: I think 52 Zebras qualifies as a 'herd'

It's been on my todo list for 7 years. It'll eventually pop up.
