i think i may have brought this up before but i was looking for an mfx plugin but i've given up on that. i still use chorder in nuendo on my laptop and thats great but on v-machine i need something.

s-note-matrix doesnt run on v-machine for some reason, so that one is out. nice concept tho.

a plugin that combined the features of both along with an input output transpose control for playing the same harmony map for a song in a different key if needed.

the basic idea is you select an input note and then select the output notes that will be triggered by that input note, enabling 1 finger chords and voicings.

great thing for windsynth players who want to do entire sections and play chords.

and another bump.
i'm finding a scenario where i'm trying to use drum modules in Kontakt, but the pre-defined midi note assignment is not at all what i want to use. rather than painstakingly swapping the sample assignments, i'd like to just convert midi notes to different midi notes...this way i can use my usual pad layout on my MPC to play these drums. otherwise i have to hunt and peck.
i am vocal about my opinions of the performance and ethics of developers and software companies

I might add a few more features before uploading but everything in the picture is working... Every note can be mapped to zero or more output notes.

Possible additional features would be:
- velocity layers
- set channel and velocity per chord note
- strumming (successive delay per chord note)
- chord name recognition

I'm also planning to make a simple note remapper without chord features or GUI which might be better for this usage.

Added guessing of chord name. Lots of room for improvement here...

I think this is the kind of plugin that could really benefit from an internal preset saving and browsing system.
miedex

Post

Yes it would. Chord voicings and presets will be handled as user-editable files on disk which will be listed in menus in the plugin.

I have a nice bug for you.

I mapped some chords and I trigger them from A, G, F in that order, in the sound I first play them slow and separated and it works awesome but then I run them together and each time I do that when I hit the F triggered chord it plays the dry F note.

Ah, sounds like the last two chords are sharing some notes. When they overlap, the note-offs from the first chord are stopping the same notes in the second chord. I can either have it sustain those notes through both chords, or kill and retrigger them...

Both of those modes could be valuable so I would vote for the option to switch between them, otherwise I say retrigger.

I went with the sustain mode to start with, thinking that if you want to retrigger, you can play staccato. I will make it optional though.

very nice very useful
thank you so much piz!

I added menus for individual chord shapes and whole keyboard mappings. They're saved as simple text files which should be easy to edit by hand... Also added buttons for shifting the chord by octave.

More possible future features:
- Other views than piano keyboard (guitar/ukulele/banjo neck, etc)
- A button to preview the current chord

Copy/Paste of chords to different trigger notes would be nice. Copy/Paste buttons would look nice next to the Follow Input button.
