Can't install Komplete 5 on Receptor 1, help much appreciated

Hi all,

I recently acquired a Receptor 1 in basically new shape via trade, it's running OS 1.7. and connected to my network via DHCP to an iMac (10.6) and an old G4 Powerbook (10.4). Plugorama showed that Komplete 5 was the compatible NI version and I actually searched and found a copy of this old software. Komplete installed beautifully on my iMac, but I can't get it to install on the Receptor.

When I try to use Direct Install from the Receptor software on the iMac, it asks for the NI install DVD (which I insert) then spits it out saying it's not the NI Install disc. This happens over and over.

I then tried to install from the G4 but come across a similar problem -- the install theoretically starts but then nothing happens, you can't hear the DVD spin, the dialogue box with install info gets stuck, goes nowhere.

My hope for the Receptor is to be able to play gigs without a computer, just a MIDI controller and the Receptor playing the NI instruments.

Has anyone come across this problem? Any suggestions/solutions? NI says it "does not provide first level support for Receptor" and said to contact Muse. I contacted Muse, but so far no solutions on how to get the NI set onto a Receptor 1.

Any experience/suggestions/help greatly appreciated!

Well, Plugorama sure does show that Komplete 5 is Direct Installable on Receptor 1, so I don't know why Muse has no solutions (yet). Be sure to open a support ticket through Plugorama if you haven't already.

Also, I think I found out some time ago that OS 10.4 ( deleted ) doesn't allow remote access to the DVD drive, so stick with your iMac for this installation.
