My system consists of:
Windows 7 64bit 16Gig
Ableton Live 8.2.2
MDrummer 4.00

All plug-ins are visible except MDrummer4.

Refreshed rescan of VSTPlugin directory.

Ran Ableton Live in admin mode.

Still doesn't pick up the MDrummer4 VSTs...

Any work around?

Maybe it crashed Live on first scan? If that's the case a rescan won't do anything. Try manually moving the .dll to the desktop, starting Live again. Quit. Put the .dll back and then try to run Live again. That sometimes works.

Also please run MDrummerConfig first from the installation directory. It should fix potential problems you might caused by having locked some system folders, manually moving the installation folder and ugly stuff like that.

Tried the following:

1. removed MDrummer4 DLLs from VSTPlugIns directory
2. restarted Ableton Live and alt-rescan VST library
3. put plugins back into VSTPlugIns directory
4. restarted Ableton Live and alt-rescan VST library again
5. still does not see the MDrummer4 DLLs
6. ran MDrummerConfig.exe again to reset files
7. restarted Ableton Live and alt-rescan VST library
8. still does not see the MDrummer4 DLLs

Aren't you trying to use 64-bit MDrummer on 32-bit Live or vice-versa?

Yes:

OS is 64bit
Ableton Live is 32bit
MDrummer4 is 64bit
Reaper 64bit
Reaper 32bit

Can I install MDrummer4 32bit and 64bit at the same time, but in different directories, so that my host can select a specfic bit version of MDrummer4?

So you need 32-bit version. And yes you can install both. I recommend installing twice to the same destination, just select different VST plugins directories. There may be a few problems when updating though. Maybe the next version should contain both editions...

Reaper (x32)
MDrummer 4 (x32)
