it already works via Safari though.

The dedicaed app just makes it much easier. No need to zoom in and out all the time and much easier to click on links etc.

Technically would Tapatalk work with KvR though? - I'd like this very much as it's a pain to navigate in Safari but the forums I know that use Tapatalk are all vBulletin based and isn't KvR based on some sort of highly customised phpBB?

Safari Reader from iOS 5 works very nice with KVR forum threads, at least on my iPad.

I was browsing on my phone, and I noticed that one thing I kept doing was scrolling left to see who had typed a comment. Could you put the name at the top of each post as well?
