Ok... In order to give my Audio Unit to someone else, will it work without SonicBirth loaded in his Mac..? He uses logic and just wants to open in as a plugin.

The framework is absolutely necessary.

Be sure to use the latest (last?...) version of SB:

And here's a drag and drop install of the framework only:

Legend! Thanks Kewl.

Am I right in thinking as long as the framework is dropped into the "drag & drop" file that file just needs to be saved to his applications folder...?

A SonicBirth-made plug-in needs its framework to be functional: a SB plug-in is in fact mostly an XML file that talks to the framework. The framework is the DSP engine.

To design a SB plug-in, both the SB app and the SB framework must be installed.

To run a SB plug-in, only the framework is necessary: hence the framework-only installer.

The framework must be installed in "/Library/Frameworks": the framework-only installer provides an alias to that folder.

Got it.. Thanks mate :-) I appreciate the help.
