www.xsynth.com has released Hybrids for Zebra VST
a new sound bank by Michael Kastrup

Hybrids is 400+ patches for Zebra VST which for most parts emulates real instruments like Guitars, Bass, Drums, Brass, Keys, Organs, Chromatic Percussion, older synths (Juno 60/D-50/NOVA/PPG) etc..

Hybrids also have the full Tonemeister Sound Set included (160 Patches).
Hybrids sell for 39,- Euro and Tonemeister owners can upgrade to Hybrids for 14,- Euro

Visit www.xsynth.com for various demos.

A little update on Hybrids for Zebra:

The next video is almost ready and while we wait for that i made a little demo of patches from the MOTION directory which will not appear in the video since they are so damn long to demonstrate:

These 10 MOTION patches are played in the following order:
(i define MOTION as patches which have a slow evolved motion)

Biofield Complex B
Etheral C
Morning After
Rez Glider
Sine Chimes
Some Waves NEW
Pad 7th Balance
Cosmos
Mad Lab
Pad Mystique

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zebra may be an old bugger but we are stll able to crank new stuff out of it which Bigtone made very clear with his new soundset. Congratz Nico :)

I'm leaning more towards other styles and have been doing emulation research on various sound sources. First of all next soundset from me is called Zebra Hybrids, its about emulating el. guitars, el. basses and an old fav of mine Roland Juno 6/60. To go along with that i've made various synth patches and some wannabe drums.

Anyways, i gave the first 64 presets a spin in Cubase. You can watch it over at my Youtube channel:

Not many Juno sounds in that video, that will have to wait. Need to organize them first.

Have fun listening :)

Michael, I'm glad to see you finally got the problems worked out with Windows 7. :)

And of course, the sounds are super-sweet. This has been a great week for Zebra2 sound design! :tu:

I'm definitely looking forward to you releasing the bank Michael. And I have to say, I think your demo tracks always seem to have a certain, tasteful quality to them that really leaves me wanting to hear more.

You are always among the first people to comment on my vids :) Thx Dennis

wow, everyone is surprising me with zebra lately.

Looks like i will be buying more banks after all.

this bank has kind of a warm retro yet digital feel to it if that makes sense, yeah but there is alot of warmth, very very nice. VERY!
The pad " 5th Soft Space"is made with 1 OSC and a waveform i found useful for many patches, the lead is called "Talkbox" a combination of LP and BP filters.

I have upped my warmth perception after i been toying with some hardware synths, so i'm glad its reflected in the patches :)

The list is currently at 265+ patches but i'm doing quality control and some have to go. At least you'll get the typical 128 patches.

My family first casette recorder had a Burt Bacharach tape in it, since that day i've been cursed with the sounds of soft trumpets. Cant let it go :) Must do more soft trumpets.!

The move to Win 7 64bit have been quite painful but it had to be done, tons of plugins are not working but thankfully Zebra is back on the right track :)
Anyway, who cares as long as we have Zebra :)

The more is always giving me grey hairs, for some odd reason i always seem to stray away from the original idea and end up designing new patches

Anyways, dont forget to loop up on my older videos:

This one gives a better idea on the use of the el. guitar patches

The intro to your electric guitar vid reminds me of Udo Lindenberg. Awesome, Michael! Looking forward to the release. Hope things are going better for you now; I know its been tough recently. - Jim (changed from jcsquire to AnalogGuy1).

Knowing that people do care has helped me a lot, so its time to repay some of that kindness :)
