Optimizing signal throughput on the Receptor

I was wondering where I want to set the Master Volume on my Receptor for the best sound quality ... First of all my understanding is that if I am sending MIDI Controller data through the Receptor's MIDI In the signal first sees the mixer channel(s) fader(s) that are associated with the MIDI Channel being sent, then the Mixer Master fader, and then the Master Volume knob on the front of the Receptor -- is this the path ?

And, I am further assuming that I would want the Mixer channel faders to be just below pinning for the highest velocity coming from the controller .. and, if so, where do I want to put the Master Volume knob ?

and then of course there are the volume controls on my powered speakers -- and in that case I'd like to keep those relatively low -- so maybe I want as much signal coming through the Receptor as I can ?

Anyway please share your thoughts ...

thanks,
Dan
