My muse went down several months ago (I bought it used and it worked great for about two years) then one day it just wouldn't start. Replaced the power supply - still no go. Replaced the front PC board thinking it just might be the switch - still no go. Although now when I attempt to fire it up,it lights up for less than a second and right back off again and will not do it again until I unplug the power and wait for the green light on the mother board to go out (once this is done it does the same thing) Don't have lots of $$$ so I am doing it myself if possible, if anyone has had similar experiences and or can tell me whats wrong or how to repair it I would be greatful. Thanks.

Isn't there a wafer battery (for BIOS and clock) on the motherboard? In a regular PC, if that battery is dead the PC will not boot.

Sounds like the motherboard has gone out. Another test you can try before replacing the board would be taking out 1 stick of ram and try booting. Then replace the ram and take out the other stick. This does not happen much but a customer I JUST got off the phone with had a similar problem, and it turned out to be a bad stick of ram.
Thanks,

Well it doesn't look good. I tried both suggestions and still nothing will work. Any one have any Idea of what a new mother board will cost and if I am going to spend the money anyway can I upgrade to the 4 GB model? Thanks for all your help.
