I can't figure out how to get Thesys to work in Ableton. It won't sync to Ableton's clock. And i can't find any videos or otherwise to show me how to do it... :help:

Manual says

In this example, we'll get Thesys going using Ableton Live (Mac) as our host. Insert or
drag the Thesys VST onto a MIDI channel. If you do not know how to do this, please
consult your host application manual.
To start with, make sure the outputs of the MIDI channel are routed like any other
software instrument so that you can hear the audio on your speakers or headphones in
your studio.

That doesn't work. Once dragged into a MIDI channel, it acts like a Audio VST. There IS no MIDI out available. Just MIDI In and Audio Output routing. And that still doesn't cause it to sync to Ableton's clock. Or does it simply need to be triggered via a Note On event?

I also want to sequence a hardware synth, not a VST.

Open another midi track and set midi in to the Thesys track. You can then either put a vst on that track or route midi out to your hardware.
