this is a challenge from a FB friend...that's all I have, it looks like my ESP/LTD but the hardware is not right and typically ESP puts the model number at the 12th fret. I'M, thinking schecter?
for reference, my esp/ltd

point 2. something I should do as it is an easy mod for sure but you know what (now think about this for a moment). I think another mod that could be further modded to be a blend is also very easy. That of course is the stereo guitar mod (which can be done without adding an extra jack hole on many guitars like a les paul just by removing one tone, having a master tone and putting the second jack there). The mod is under 10 dollars (a second jack and an spdt toggle)Uncle E wrote:My Suhr is special in a few ways:
1. It has the BPSSC for great humbucked single coil sounds
2. It has a blend knob for the neck and bridge pickups, which, IMO, is the single best electronics mod you can do to a strat
3. It's a strat that plays like a shredder
Yeah, for someone using dual rigs, an onboard blend knob would be fantastic! Damn, now you've got me thinking about it.Hink wrote:I think another mod that could be further modded to be a blend is also very easy. As much as I love mine, my most played guitars are my (hibidy's) PRS SE, my Warmoth chambered body strat with Little 59's, and my super modded American Standard strat. All the high-end stuff (even my Ibanez Prestige) tend to spend most their time in their cases.I would love a Suhr but once again I am afraid they cross that price barrier for me and if I am going to spend that much I do not want to have a guitar that if I hit hard times I might need to sell*. I also have no doubt that Warmoth necks are every bit as good so that might be the better way to go for me.
